Students always come to school hungry. Hungry for food. Hungry for love. Hungry for learning. As a counselor, I witness it first hand. We try to always have some food for our students in addition to providing a safe and comfortable space for them. Due to the pandemic, for many of the students, it is their first time on campus in over a year! Many of them are struggling with anxiety and depression. Having these resources in my counseling office will help with social emotional learning as well as meeting some of their basic needs.
