We are requesting a collection of nonfiction books to boost my students' literacy skills and expose them to essential information about our world. These nonfiction books were selected with my middle school students in mind. The list is comprised of a variety of informational texts and biographies written to appeal to them. Placing these books in the library media center will allow the entire middle school to access them. These engaging and diverse books will serve as a catalyst for my students to continue to build their reading comprehension and writing skills. One of my goals as a library media specialist is to create enthusiastic readers which in turn will lead to their academic success. Please help expand the nonfiction section of our library media center.
