I teach middle school mathematics, but only have about five calculators for twenty-five students to share. With higher level mathematics, it is imperative that each student given an opportunity to learn and use a TI-30 calculator. It is virtually impossible to teach some higher level math problems with five students sharing one calculator. Not only are there issues with who gets to use the calculator first, but it also extends our limited lesson time where other skills could be taught. A wonderful donation of twenty-five TI-30 calculators will give every student in my class period an equal opportunity to learn.
