  • Experiments in the Classroom: The World of Exploration and Excitement!

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

I'm so excited to share the incredible impact your generosity has had on our students!

    How We're Using the Resources

Thanks to your support, our classroom has been exciting and creative. The tables and chairs have given our classroom a true Science Laboratory experience and the space to be very creative.

    What's Next

As we move forward, these resources will continue to enhance our lessons. Our Science Olympiad team is in the program of preparing for regional competitions, and the tables and chairs allow us the space to spread out and practice our Science projects.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Reason

This classroom project was brought to life by The Gates Foundation and 2 other donors.

Thank you for being a hero and donating to It's a Math World's crowdfunding campaign! Your donation provides so much value to the students I serve. My students love the Math Challenge because they get the opportunity to compete against students in other states. Your donation has allowed me to add 150 more students to the group.”

  • Building Community through Coziness

    Funded Feb 15, 2023

I am very appreciative of all the support shown to my scholars. When I told them about the project they were over joyed. Your kindness has really brightened our day.

From the 3rd grade scholars of Henry Houston, thank you and they promise to use your donations to forward their educational journey.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Reason

  • Stem Into The Future

    Funded Sep 6, 2019

My students were extremely excited when we opened the materials They love building and creating structures. The STEM kits allowed my scholars to use their imagination to creat structures for the future.

One of my groups built a maze. Once they started to work their way through the maze they realize the shortcomings to their original structure so they had to rethink it and add more force to one of their walls so that the ball would not knock the wall down .

I want to thank you very much for the educational opportunity you provided for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Reason

STEM Bins are plastic boxes filled with an engineering manipulative of your choice, such as LEGO bricks, pattern blocks, Dixie cups, toothpicks and playdough, or popsicle sticks with Velcro. The boxes also contain sets of task cards that picture a variety of basic real world structures to inspire students to build. Stem Bins will provide my students various learning opportunities once they complete an assignment. When my students finish early, instead of giving early finishers more work, I can give them more meaningful work with STEM Bins. Take their learning to the next level and challenge students to measure their structure, test its weight, or turn it into something useful. They can also write about their structure or use laptops to create a picture collage or how-to video. STEM Bins are perfect to fill those small transitions and windows of time between lessons because clean-up is a snap. I can also use the STEM Bins as an incentive to arrive to school on time. STEM Bins are a wonderful way to engage and “wake up” those little brains each morning, especially if your students arrive in the classroom at varying times. This is also a great time to allow students to collaborate with partners.
