  • Organized Reading and Writing

    Funded May 7, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation! My students will be so excited to see all the new things for our classroom. These items will allow for a more organized and welcoming classroom environment. They will also be excited about the new books I can read and do book projects on.”

  • Books Galore!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation!! My students are going to be so excited to read these new books. They love when I add new books to our classroom library. My students have many opportunties to read throughout the day, but we do an independent reading time everyday for about 25 minutes in which they get to read books from our classroom library on their own to strengthen their reading skills. Thanks to you they will have more options to choose from.”

    With gratitude,

  • Afternoon Snacks

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation! Thanks to you my students where able to have an afternoon snack to get them through the rest of the day. Many of my students rely on me to be able to have a snack for the day. They live in low income households and live pay check to pay check. Providing a snack for their child isn't easy to do with their tight budget. My students where so excited when the Amazon boxes of snacks arrived because they knew they would all be getting a snack. They especially loved the unique snacks like the popcorn and different flavored chips. The pieces of candy we use as prizes for our sparkle spelling review game. Thank you again for all your help in making my students sucessful.”

  • Growing Our Classroom Library

    Funded Oct 17, 2021

Thank you so much for the new books! My students were super excited to have new books in our classroom library. We have twenty minutes of independent reading everyday, in which they read books they have checked out from our classroom library. This allows them to build stamina in reading as well as strengthen their reading skills. I try to add new books often to get my students more excited about reading and to peak their interests. This selection of books, where actually books we read during our whole group intereactive reading discussions. Many of my students were excited to read them again on their own. My weaker readers were especially excited because those books were already familar to them and they could read them. Thank you for your help in the growth of my students' reading career!”

  • Afternoon Snacks

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation towards our project of snacks. My students where so incredibly excited when they saw the boxes of snacks that had arrived. No one can do their best when they are hungry, so since we have lunch so early in the day they are hungry nearing the end of our day and don't do their best. I have an afterrnoon snack time to calm their empty stomachs and give them that extra push to get through the rest of the day. Many of my students live in low income households that can only afford essentials if that. Thanks to you I was able to provide them with those snacks.”

    Funded Sep 12, 2022

Thank you so much for you donation. Because of you all my students are able to have an afternoon snack to give them that extra boost of energy to get through the day. Many of my students live in low income households and can't afford simple things like an afternoon snack so this project has really helped to ease that burdon. My students where beyond excited when they saw all yummy snacks. Their favorite was the mixed boxes so they could try new things. Now that they have snacks to help them get that boost to keep learning my next goal in my class is to find ways to get them more engaged in reading. Thank you again for your donation and support!”

  • Reading Time

    Funded May 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation! My students were so excited to see the new headphones and baskets for our classroom library. Our classroom library is now very organized which makes my students locate books easier. I have loved watching them get excited to read and want to keep going back to our classroom library to get more to read. The headphones have been a blessing because I have several students whose family cant buy their own supplies. Having these headphones on hand has made it where everyone has their own pair and they can focus on the books they are listening to. Thank you so much for all your support!”

  • Keeping Warm This Christmas

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation! Because of you, every single one of my students were not only able to get warm socks, hats, and gloves, but they were actually able to open up a Christmas gift. The look on their face when they saw they got a present and what was inside was priceless! Many of my students live in low income homes making getting Christmas presents difficult. Our parents also struggle to get them things they really need such as socks, gloves, and warm hat. The excitement on their face when they opened up their gift was priceless.”

  • Colorful Work Stations

    Funded Oct 25, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation. You have made it to where my student can have unique and colorful work stations. These stations allow my students to learn in a fun and more interesting way. My students learn better when they are having fun and enjoy the lesson being taught. When they saw the boxes of supplies come into the room, they were beyond excited because they knew fun things were about to happen. I think their favorite thing was the colored cardstock, because they know I make fun board games with it.”

    Mrs. Harrison

This printer and printer ink will be used for a variety of everyday educational needs including daily writing and printing in the classroom. More so, however, I envision the students being able to each have an opportunity to create and print group projects. I also want them to learn how to respect the delicacies of the latest technology. It's not just a tool by which they can create things. As a ATPE history teacher I also see it as a gateway to better understanding how technology is a part of history from the wheel, to paper, to phones, to cars, to television, etc. It's just another aspect of human life throughout the ages, but one that has set our species apart from others and allowed us to adapt the environment to our needs. Students need to then appreciate how not to abuse that ability. They need to truly comprehend the enormity of how the latest technology can affect their lives. My students have many challenges to overcome every day, but with these new materials, we would be able to give my students the best chances to gain new skills like their peers.
