My classroom is set up to help struggling learners enhance their reading and writing abilities. A space that is comfy and exciting is the first step in their learning process. I am asking for bean bag chairs, a carpet and room divider curtains. The colors chosen are bright and positive and I believe will give my students the energy needed to make it through their day. I have low readers and mathematicians but building a safe place and confidence is always my #1 priority! With these materials I will be able to do a number of digital and hands-on activities while providing some flexible seating options. We will do many step-by-step instructional videos so that my students can learn at their own pace so having the requested headphones will be an amazing addition. This will also be beneficial for read-alouds and working on our fluency. I am also asking for markers, colored pencils, dry erase markers and an organizational cart to hold all these basic supplies.
