I would like to enhance students daily reading experience by creating a cozy comfortable environment that does not disrupt their reading. Sometimes students will lay on the floor , on top of tables and try to re position their selves in the classroom to become well acquainted with a pieces of literature of their choosing. In our 8th grade class we designate approximately 45-67 mins of reading daily to increase vocabulary intake, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. Having these items will act as a positive incentive to push for urgency of wanting to read. Kids often find reading to be strenuous, because they have a hard time becoming vulnerable in the setting. Students have a hard time finding ways to get comfortable to reel their selves in a good book. Please help provide that experience for my 8th graders.
