Learning in the Glassroom
Funded Oct 27, 2019Thank you so much for providing us with the funds necessary to improve our learning! In the glassroom, my students are exposed to more auditory stimuli than a typical learning environment. My students benefit from the noise reducing headphones as the technology negates the effects of the sometimes noisy surrounding environment.
My second graders do not miss a thing! They are always listening to conversations and the on-goings of their surroundings! This holds true in the glassroom, as my students sometimes disengage from the task at hand to listen to whatever may be happening outside of our glass walls. Having the headphones on makes that problem disappear. This allows for my students to hone in on their quiz/test/reading and eliminate distractions.
Aside from my students loving to pick between the red and purple color options, many of my students opt to get those headphones at any appropriate time, which is a great indicator of focus and intent in the classroom! This helps form a social dynamic, wherein students recognize that if one friend is wearing the headphones, maybe they should too to help improve their own focus! Some of my students are especially reactive to external stimuli, and these have certainly helped mitigate those types of issues! Thanks again!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Cacace
