My students come from mostly lower socioeconomic homes which makes buying snacks for school not a priority for parents. In the past years, our school has been part of a healthy snack program. However, this year we did not receive that funding. Our lunch in 2nd grade is at 1 pm this year which is hard for a 7 year old. Learning and retaining information is hard when your stomach is growling. Donating to my project will help my students to be able to concentrate better throughout the morning to succeed in their learning. This will help to meet one of their basic needs which will help their academic growth and physical development. Thank you!
