My students are excited about learning the ukulele. It's one of the least daunting stringed-instruments to start learning. However, with our numbers growing, not everyone can take handle of their learning experience if they are having to share their instrument with another classmate. Having a complete class set and cases for our ukuleles will help my students worry less about sharing or dropping their ukulele and focus more on honing their hidden talents. Our boxes are falling apart and some of our ukuleles have taken a tumble, scaring a student into thinking they are in trouble for mistreating their instrument. In addition, completing our class set will mean we spend less time repeating exercises so that partners get a chance to participate. We would be able to make the most out of our time and really dive into the island feel with our ukuleles.
