My reading classes are a hub of activity and learning with students sitting in small groups or working independently. As per the Balance Literacy model, I take small group to my table to work on particular reading and literacy skills and strategy. The problem is getting everyone in a configuration where all can see the books and materials at the same time. I'm requesting an activity kidney-shaped table which will be used for my small group instruction. This table has a shape that is conducive to one-to-one attention from me. It empowers the children to be part of a "reading team". I'll use the table throughout the day with all my different grades and students. It will make such a difference in the quality of my instruction. I'm so excited about having this new flexible furniture. Thank you for your continued support of my teaching initiatives and my wonderful children.
