• Back to Basics

  Every day seems to come with a new need for materials, but all of these supplies have greatly reduced student and teacher need for supplies this year that help us with daily organization and tasks. New folders have made students so happy who need help organizing their things (and me too with all of the papers I need to organize for grading!) There is not one pencil left either and just a handful of glue sticks. A clear area in the classroom that was stocked and where students could refresh their needs and gather learning materials gave space for me as a teacher to give feedback and address student questions effectively.”

• Ready to Write!

  Our class notebooks have become spaces for great learning, reflection, and goal setting. As we come to the end of the semester, we have added over 30 resources into our notebook that demonstrate the growth of our reading and writing this year.

  Each student having access to a notebook specifically for this class makes it so that we can ensure students' materials are not only organized, but also makes it so that they can see the progress visually that they are making. We glue something into these notebooks almost every other day, and so all of those glue sticks really help!

  They truly loved all of the stickers as way to make their notebooks their own too!”

• So Fresh, So Clean, So Ready to Learn

  The supplies provided through this project continue to help students meet their basic needs every day. Our "Take What You Need" space continues to stay fully stocked, with deodorant, pads, tampons, hair ties, tissue, and hand sanitizer being the most in-demand. Even just yesterday, a student I don't teach came in to ask for supplies - which means that students know this is a place they can get what they need!

  Students are thrilled that this space lives on and is restocked when needed. We greatly appreciate your donations to help students feel comfortable at school.”
