The books I have selected are just a fraction of books that will encourage my students in reading, expose them to ideas, make connections with characters, and be more aware of the world. I am using "Classroom Book a Day" as a challenge to myself and 5th graders to bring reading to life!
By donating to our project you are helping my classroom community and student reading engagement. Students that are read aloud to are proven to increase vocabulary, make connections to their lives, and improve overall informational processing skills. This project is also helping to build positive students identities in a world that can make growing up complicated. Overall, I just want to encourage students to love books and themselves!
