I teach special education and want each classroom to be responsive to the needs of students with exceptionalities. My students work hard in their classroom! Each day, they are expected to be involved with their peers both at their desks and on the rug. They are expected to complete complex cognitive tasks, and to interact appropriately within the classroom. We need some help to make sure that our general education classrooms are responsive to the diverse needs of each student. Inclusion is all about making modifications and accommodations so that all students can experience success. By donating to this project, you can help give students the flexible seating, and sensory tools they need in order to function in an inclusion classroom. Students with Sensory Processing Disorder will use the sensory tools to take needed sensory breaks throughout the day. Students who are hyperactive can use the resistance bands, and wiggle seats to stay active and focused at the same time.
