The visual aide and hands on manipulatives will give our students the resources they need to learn to cook simple foods, clean their own house or apartment and communicate with the people in their household and community. By giving the students real life examples and resources, they can develop the skills needed to make their own dinner, what items they need to make a bed or how to interact with the clerk at the grocery store. Our goal is to help our students bloom into independent, self sufficient functioning members of their household and community. The items in our donor choose project are the resources we need to begin to foster their independence and build on their current and future independent life skills.
