  • TDAs Hip Hip Hooray

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards our classroom. We are grateful for the Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Card and plan on using it to purchase more TDA practice for us to use. My Learning Support students need additional practice and these additional stories and prompts will allow us to have that without repeating stories and prompts. We are excited to use this gift card to help us grow our TDA resrouces.

Any extra money on the gift card will be used to help us purchase reading resources (such as fluency, comprehension, or phonics based activities). The gift card could also be used to purchase math activities based on my students needs (such as but not limited to money practice, time, 2 digit adding and subtracting, regrouping, multiplication, division, and word problems).

Thank you again for supporting our classroom. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kerestes

  • Pause & Refresh the Room

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for helping us restock our basic classroom supplies. These resources will help us to continue with our daily routine and lessons. We are always laminating things and the new lamination pouches will help us to continue making reading games for our reading practice. In addition, the lamination pouches will help us make math activities and any other fun games that we want to continue to use in the future.

The binders and folders will help us to keep our independent work and progress monitoring organized. If any students join our class throughout the year, they will be able to have their own folders and/or binders as well.

The teddy bear counters are being used to help students learn to count. These math manipulatives allow us to use touch point math to help visualize the number the students are counting. The calculators will allow us to help check our work once we solve the problem out on our whiteboard table.

The tape will be used for everyday tasks as well as helping to keep items safe and reusable.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our Learning Support classroom as well as education. We are very grateful for your help.”

  • Breath In, Breath Out, & Calm Yourself About

    Funded Sep 2, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. We are incredibly grateful for our new social/emotional books. We were in need of these for our daily lessons. We will add these to the social stories creating more stories and options for our classroom during these lessons. These will help students practice calm down strategies as well as understand their emotions better.

The headphones will be used for school assemblies, field trips, outdoor recess, or any other situation which may cause a student to go into a sensory overload. These headphones will help keep noise level down for students while allowing them to partake in the activities alongside their fellow peers.

Thank you again for supporting Special Education and allowing my students to be authentic to who they are. We are so appreciative for your love and support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kerestes

  • Listen Up and Hear that Learning

    Funded Jul 11, 2022

Thank you so much for helping us to get sound in our classroom. I was recently moved to a new school within the same district but this project still helps my students out. The classroom I was moved to has no sound system just like my old two rooms. This bluetooth speaker is perfect for enhancing learning through videos. It is loud enough for the whole room to hear. The protective case it came with will help us keep this wonderful resource safe so we can use it for many years to come.

Without your help, we would not have had this resource. It is truly appreciated from the bottom of our hearts”

  • Pop It, Spin It, Fidget All Around

    Funded Apr 4, 2022

Thank you for choosing our classroom as a Horace Mann sweepstakes winner. We are incredibly grateful and excited for these new fidget items. We have been wanting number and letter Pop Its all year. These new Pop Its will help students practice spelling and making words in a new and exciting way. My third graders were the first students to try spelling with Pop Its and loved it!

All fidget items will be split between my two school. I am excited to add them into both classrooms. Many of our current fidget items are starting to get worn. These new items are much needed.

Thank you again for supporting our classroom. It is greatly appreciated and we hope you have a wonderful Spring Break.”

  • Rainbow Wheels and Bins

    Funded Mar 19, 2022

Thank you for helping our classroom. We are very grateful and appreciative for the new drawers. We were even able to get a wire storage unit to hold progress monitoring data. These drawers will be put to good use and were very much needed.

The students love how they are the color of the rainbow. We even used them one day to go on a "field trip" to another room when we were not able to hold class in our usual space. The bins allowed us to be flexible and not miss a beat.

We could have this wonderful resource without you. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. We appreciate you taking the time to help our classroom out and hope you have a wonderful Spring Break & summer.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kerestes

  • Hey Look, That's Me!

    Funded Feb 20, 2022

Thank you for helping us to get new books that focus on diversity, loving oneself, and accepting others. We are very excited to have these new materials in our classroom to help foster a welcoming environment. These books are beneficial for all students to see representation of characters who look like them. Many of these characters in the stories are experiencing similar things that my students may be.

We are very excited to grow our library and look forward to continuing to grow our library in the future. We love books and are always looking for new stories to add to our collection. Your kindness and donations are very much appreciated. Thank you for supporting education as well as fostering a welcoming environment. We are very grateful for your support.”
