Ukuleles will be played by sixth graders each music class. These sixth graders are preparing to enter junior high or middle school and are ready for an additional musical experience compared to the younger elementary school students. As sixth graders learn to play the ukulele, they will practice and improve musical skills that may be used both inside and outside of the classroom. The ukuleles serve as a tool to help students gain greater confidence in their emerging musical abilities. Students are most interested in performing music that is popular in today's culture. The ukulele will allow students to perform music that is part of that culture. These students will benefit greatly from your help in securing us these materials!
