  • Basic Supplies for Students

    Funded Nov 15, 2022

Thank you so much for choosing to fund basic school supplies - like these reams of paper - for our students at Emerson Elementary! We believe that all students should be able to have basic school supplies to access amazing learning opportunities regardless of their backgrounds or income statuses. This is one small step in the right direction towards more equitable schools!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Won

  • Flexible Seating for My Fab 4th Graders!

    Funded Aug 26, 2020

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity during this time! Our students will be so excited to return to a building, albeit under new health guidelines of social distancing, that includes flexible seating to accommodate for their diverse learning needs! This is one step in the right direction to ensure an engaging and equitable educational experience for all of our students!”

  • Cozy Carpet for Talking Circles

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

My students are so excited to have a bright and cozy carpet to make our literacy lessons and morning circles even more fun! They are extremely grateful for the support they've received from people near and far who care about their learning so much that they're willing to invest in making their classroom a more welcoming, productive and welcoming space. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

Before practicing any new concept idea or strategy, teachers or peers can set students up for success in math, reading, writing or social studies by modeling those strategies for the whole class. This modeling typically takes place from a designated space in the classroom using a document camera connected to a projector that projects an image onto a screen so all students have an equal opportunity to observe, take notes and learn before practicing the strategy independently. Currently, our classroom has all of the technological pieces, but lacks an ideal space in which to do this modeling and teaching. My hope is that this presentation station will allow my students and I to optimize our learning environment by providing a designated and easily movable space from which quality teaching and instruction can take place!
