Thank you so much for allowing me to introduce a wonderful high interest text to my students. This will be a very enjoyable classroom experience for them. I am so excited to get them reading! This particular book will allow me to reach all of the different levels of readers in my classroom and maintain interest.”

This book that I am requesting is a very high interest book that grabs the attention of most readers in the middle grades. It works well with the varied reading levels that I have in my classroom. I hope to teach students about important themes in the book, such as the importance of having perseverance when life breaks you down and gets very tough, while also showing them that they can enjoy reading as a whole. I will use these books to teach students skills in plot and theme as well as characterization. By the end of the novel my hope is that the pleasant reading experience has eased some of the reluctancies to read and opened the door for better learning.
