I cannot thank you enough for supporting my classroom! My seniors are beyond lucky and are now guaranteed the most special senior year thanks to your generosity. I cannot wait to share the good news and get the ball rolling with projects and senior events. Thank you is an understatement.”

  • School Newspaper Needs an iPad!

    Funded Dec 11, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity. It has helped my classroom in numerous ways by preparing my students for the ever changing technological world. It is so amazing to be able to easily alter lessons to childrens' specific learning styles so that they can achieve. It is great to be able to take brain breaks, try STEM challenges, and push my students' thinking. My classroom has been able to function on a totally higher level and it absolutely shows! We are able to tap into a new kind of learning and see what the kids are capable of. We have a new growth mindset for new challenges and are constantly trying to see what we can accomplish thanks to your donation!”

  • Let Go with Legos!

    Funded Nov 18, 2021

I cannot express how much fun we have had in our classroom thanks to your donation! We have been able to make indoor recess something to look forward to and your donation has given us a fun way to alleviate all day to day stresses for the students and adults alike. We start our days with STEM building activities that helps us learn in a tangible way while also encouraging teamwork and trial and error in real time. The lessons we've learned thus far are invaluable. Thank you so much for your generosity!”

  • In Living Color!

    Funded Nov 30, 2020

There aren't enough words to describe the impact of your donation, but I'll try. When speaking of the daily challenges of teaching in a low-income area, the biggest one is getting your hands on basic supplies like ink. Then, add in the realities of a pandemic, and the money you set aside for ink quickly becomes an afterthought and you use it to purchase microwave food your students can have for dinner. Your donation makes everything possible without me having to dig more deeply into my own pockets that support my own family. As teachers, especially this year, we feel a responsibility to care for our children like family and give them every opportunity. Your donation allowed me to challenge them to reflect on their year through writing.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schendy

  • School Newspaper Needs Color!

    Funded Dec 13, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for bringing our school newspaper to LIFE! Our students have been creating questions, interviewing, drafting articles, revising and editing, and then having all that work being printed in black and white. The lack of color has allowed their efforts to be overlooked and forgotten about. Although we have clearly been doing our best to develop our first school newspaper, it needed some color to be noticed and truly shine from the work put into it. With your donation and support, we have been able to let the photographer's eyes shine, the comic strips and riddles glow, and the words of our reporters jump off the page. It has made more students want to join the news crew and has created a "buzz" for those considering enrolling in our school. All of this is thanks to the color boost you've provided!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schendy

Our gifted and talented students started our first ever school newspaper last year. It was one of our many project based learning projects. We were an amazing success...but copies didn't get the full attention that they deserved because they were not printed in color due to high ink and paper costs and our school's limited Title I budget. Title I schools reflect the poverty in our area and despite this, our students are thriving and achieving. I would love for our student reporters' work to really shine this year with your help and the donation of our color printer! Students set up interviews, generate a list of their own questions, turn the answers into articles, edit, take accompanying photos, etc. Only to then have all their hard work printed in black and white?! Please help their newspaper reach it's full potential!
