By having my students use Chromebooks in their learning, it individualizes how they learn. Working with so many grade levels at once is difficult, and they often get distracted easily. Chromebooks will keep them focused and engaged, while letting me provide the individual lessons they need.
Technology is also a way of the future. Working in the inner- city, these kids are often not exposed to computers at home and therefore the only way they may use them is at school. By having them in my classroom, I can engage more students at the same time. My students are often distracted and need redirection and focus, and these would motivate them to learn. That way my students will be more prepared to work with technology in the future.
