One of the greatest joys of teaching is watching my 2nd graders fall in love with reading. In order for this to happen, I need engaging books that my students want to read! My classroom is diverse and I strive to create a classroom community in which each student feels included, respected and safe. That’s why I am hoping to create a classroom library that reflects the diversity of my students. Being able to see themselves and their classmates in reading material will get students excited to read which will help them become stronger readers!
