Exploring Science Phenomena in Grade 5
Funded Sep 20, 2024My students were so excited to see all of our new science materials that came as a result of your generous donations! They could not wait to unpack them all and get started with our new learning opportunities. Thus far, we have hatched Sea Monkeys and are tracking their growth and development, and we have used our storage cases and reference books to sort and identify over 30 types of rocks and minerals! This has kept us busy during our rainy days of indoor recess. We are most excited to build our Lego model of the Earth, sun, and moon as we investigate the seasons and moon phases.
Your donations have and will continue to provide us with incredible opportunities to investigate the natural world.
We can't thank you enough for your generosity and for being part of our educational experience! The future scientists and engineers in ROOM 307 are lucky to have amazing supporters like you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Page

Funded Mar 21, 2024On behalf of the 4th grade students in Brockton Public Schools, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation. Your contribution will play a crucial role in enhancing our science education program, specifically in the area of sound investigations.
The donation you provided has allowed our students to explore the fascinating world of sound energy and gain hands-on experience with sound waves. Through experiments and demonstrations, they learned about amplitude, pitch, and energy transfers.
Your thoughtful gift ensures that our students have access to the tools they need to excel in their scientific explorations. Once again, thank you for your commitment to 21st century education and your belief in the potential of our students.
Thank you once again for your generosity!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Page

Funded Oct 11, 2023We have completed our special STEM week project! Thanks to your generous donations, every 1st grader in the city of Brockton has taken home their very own flashlight to investigate how light interacts with their world. To say that these young engineers were excited would be an understatement! I received hundreds of hugs and so many thank yous from our students, who were so grateful for the opportunity to engage in the engineering design process and take home their very own science tool. Students designed and created outfits for their firefly, Firenze (the flashlight), learning about how different materials filter light. We are so lucky to have donors like you support our project. This week, our students saw themselves in STEM and it was incredible! Opportunities like this inspire our students and spark a love learning. We are eternally grateful!”

Funded Aug 29, 2019Thank you! My fifth graders have been LOVING our new STEM materials! When we first received them they were so excited to unbox everything and dive right in. Each group took a package, opened up their new materials, spent time exploring each item and before sharing what they had opened with the rest of the class. It was such a fun afternoon, truly an experience to remember!
We have been learning how to use all of our amazing new supplies during our STEM Friday time. First, we all learned how to code so that we could use our favorite guy, Dash the robot! We have been programming him to follow our commands ever since and love using him with his catapult and basketball hoop accessories. We even used our new Magnatiles to create a maze for Dash to go through. The Magnatiles are also one of our favorite new activities! We use them to engineer all kinds of structures during indoor recess and our STEM time. We love to take our Cubelet robots into the halls and show them off to other students in the fifth grade. All of our new materials have given us so many amazing new learning opportunities and we are all so very grateful! They have turned our classroom into a true Makerspace where we can let our creativity take over.
We are partnering with a third grade classroom next month and we are going to be showing them how we code and how to use our new robotics and other STEM materials from this project. We can't wait to share our new found talents and excitement with other students. Thank you for making all of this possible!”

Mrs. Page
