What I Need, otherwise known as WIN time takes place daily in our classroom. WIN is 30 minutes long and allows us to work towards closing learning gaps, review essential standards, and push students beyond grade-level concepts. This time is so valuable for each student as it is individualized based on their diverse learning needs! Montessori Learning is a method of education that is based on self-directed activities, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. Students will work in groups, partnerships, and individually to discover and explore the knowledge of the world and to develop their maximum potential. Children will be able to learn through their own experience and at their own pace. I will be using the Montessori Learning methods to help meet students' needs during WIN time with the help of the shelving and trays. The shelves will help to organize and inspire students to participate in activities that are truly fit for them. The trays will help students to gather the materials needed to grow their learning in a variety of ways. Together through the materials and the Montessori method, growth will take place within all students each day!
