In a band class, each student is given an instrument for the year. They get to learn not only how to use it, but how to be creative and work collaboratively with the band while playing it. Many of our current trombones are quite old and beyond their ability to be used. These new trombones will go straight into students' hands to be used as their primary method of learning in the classroom. Our Band Program is rapidly expanding and we need to match that growth with new instruments! Having trombones with slides that function and play beautifully helps each student develop more fully in Band. Music Education is one of the best ways to ensure that a student receives a well rounded education! Research shows that when students are involved in music, they score higher on tests, have higher reading levels, and companies around the globe are seeking out their special ability to solve problems creatively! Music spurs ingenuity as well as artistic expression. Both are huge aspects of what make us human!
