These materials will help our classroom library grow and give students the chance to sit in something a little more comfortable while reading. Unfortunately, some students don't have books at home to complete their Reading Log for homework and my library is scarce. These books will give students the opportunity to fall in love with reading. The chairs will give them a chance to sit it something special, even if only for a few minutes. Some books will be used as mentor texts to teach kindness and differences. All kids need to know it's OKAY to be who you are and books such as "Pride" will help to get that point across.
