  • Fetal Pig Dissection

    Thank you for supporting my classroom. These fetal pigs will teach anatomy and physiology in a hands-on fashion. Upon their arrival we also opened up a reading challenge for the students. Each student will set their own goal and work toward it throughout the second semester. These books will help capture their interests allowing them to meet their goals.

We love first chapter Friday in the Spruce classroom and it is an easy way to pass out our new titles to the class. Once I get one student hooked on a new title it is passed around the class.     Thank you for the new books! My students are always so excited to get new titles in the classroom. We will read the first chapters of some of the books tomorrow and I will add the latest titles to our book tasting that will take place next week.

Donors choose has helped bring honey bees to our campus, and raised bed gardens in which we grow plants that bees are attracted to, in an effort to help feed our bees. They bees are so important to our ecosystem and the students are proud of supporting them. As an ELA teacher I am always looking for that one book that will light the reading fire for every kid. Donors Choose has brought books and graphic novels into my classroom that I couldn't have done on my own. I appreciate the support and generosity provided through this program.
