Students will be able to use these calculators to calculate for the variables in an efficient way. They will also use the calculators during the SAT or ACT. Most of my students can't afford expensive technology like this. My students use the calculator every day and most of them need a place to charge them. I am a Geometry and Advance Quantitative Reasoning teacher. We need to use calculators every day because they use them to plot point, make matrices, calculate the area, etc. Some of the computations done in class can be done by hand but take too much time. In certain tests and quizzes they are required to round to the thousands and doing that by hand is not easy. I am not saying my students are not capable. What I am saying is that there are other problems that are much harder even when they use the calculator.
