  • Reading and Creativity Fun!

    Funded Jun 30, 2020

Your generosity helped me provide my students with resources that they were able to use for remote learning and in person when they returned to school. Since my students are in a Title 1 school, many lack the economic resources needed to access valuable resources and supplies needed to be successful in school.

My students enjoyed reading the new wonderful books and asked for more. They also greatly enjoyed the blank books in which they were able to write their own personal narratives. Students used the crayons and colored pencils to decorate their books. An activity my students truly enjoyed was the STEAM activity where they were able to build their own wind powered car! Thank you again for your love, generosity, and support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reyes

  • Seat Sack Savvy

    Funded Dec 9, 2019

Thank you for your generous donations towards our new seat sacks! Our students were absolutely floored when they saw their new seat sacks! As soon as they received their new seat sacks, they immediately emptied out their desks and desk caddies and began to organize their books and materials. As the school year progresses, my students have received and accumulated a growing number of notebooks, workbooks, folders, and books from the library. It was becoming difficult for students to organize their supplies, materials, and books. My students have learned to be more organized and it has allowed for smooth transitions between periods. Again, thank you for your generosity!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reyes

My students have a difficult time organizing their classroom materials and supplies in their small desks. The seat sacks will allow them to better organize their materials which will also allow them to learn organizational skills. Additionally, it will allow students to take charge of their learning. I’ve noticed that my students are more productive when their materials and supplies are organized and easily attainable. It also provides for greater independence when completing tasks. Making sure students are organized and comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. When students are organized and can easily find their materials, they tend to be more engaged and get more work done.
