  • Help for Next Year

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

Words will never be able to explain the impact of the generosity you showed my students and I during a very hard start of the year. My students were coming back with many feelings some ranging from loss, excited, nervous and many more. We were able to provide the basic supplies every student needed to start the year off strong, from pencils, paper, and much more. My students had a sense of relief since many of them where impacted by the pandemic.

Since the start of the year my students were able to focus on content rather than focus on the need for supplies which many families wrote stating how grateful they were. The stress of the outside world can melt away for the 6 hours they are in the school building and they can be ensured that they will have everything they need to be successful.

Thank you so much for your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blazej

  • Next Year Needs

    Funded Aug 26, 2020

Thank you so much for the supplies, I was able to send home over 45 care packages of supplies to students in temporary housing. This was a huge success for them to feel like they are starting off as equals to their peers. The students and I will always feel very thankful for those giving during a time where the world is struggling. The computer paper was very helpful in printing out materials for students whom do not have access to technology or consistent internet. Our students where able to benefit from these supplies in many ways, and we thank you so much for making a difference in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blazej

  • Digital Resources Needed

    Funded May 5, 2020

My student who received these headphones is now able to tune into classes without distraction. The students are able to partake in breakout rooms discussing materials presented. The supplies are able to allow students who still don't have technology to write out responses to posted questions over the phone on the large grid paper. The generosity you were able to share has made it possible to reach all my students and help them to take control over their learning. Again, thank you so much for allowing me to make a difference in my students learning.”

  • Next Year Basics

    Funded Apr 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity, my students are able to have the basic supplies to complete projects like the ones posted here. My school is a title one school in New York City and in the midst of a global pandemic we are still working on obtaining the knowledge of US history. My students, now do not have to worry about not having the right supplies they can just come into the classroom and focus their attention on learning. Through this generously gifted supplies students whom never participate in class have opened up and felt welcome and on an equal playing field. Again thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blazej

  • Classroom needs printing resources!!!

    Funded Nov 1, 2019

Words can never truly express the gratitude I have for the generous donations to my classroom this year. My students are able to have ready access to primary source documents in order to explore and dive deeper into the historical material that we are studying. The students have printed binders full of primary sources and papers that they have always had printed by myself, out of the allotment I was given by the school. This would hit hard when I would once have to say no to the students because I needed to print out worksheets for them and other classes. My students have improved their grades and are consistently reading about history, now having the printing resources.

    My deepest gratitude and respect!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Blazej

Our schools model focuses on students gaining knowledge without direct access to textbooks. Our students need to work with primary and secondary sources to gain the required materials for their success in Global history. The printer and paper will allow students to have their own copies of resources and makes the classroom more student driven, instead of having everything on the PowerPoint presentation. Students would be able to annotate the sources that makes them have ownership over the material. Everyday in Global history and AP United States history we are working with primary and secondary sources that allows to students to learn history on a first hand basis.
