I will be teaching 4th grade for the first time this year. I am teaching the whole grade of almost 65 students. They are also the first group of students to enter 4th grade in the school. Which means that we have literally nothing but basic furniture in class (desks, chairs and storage cabinets). Knowing that it is a Title 1 intervention school we are so limited in resources. I have been buying extra furniture and teacher aids and accepting donations from my colleagues but I ended up with a number of learning manipulatives that I cannot afford to buy.
With these listed items you would be helping me in improving my students' Mathematics understanding and awareness using the great hands-on resources provided. Also, knowing that the instructional language is not their native language and we are an immersion school, I would depend mainly on manipulative and teaching aids.
