  • Inviting Atmosphere for Learning and Development

    I cannot describe the enormous joy I have in my heart when my project, the classroom rug got funded. I am teaching in an ICT class, and we have 23 students in our classroom. Our students were in awe when they saw the rug. It was very rich in color and very comfortable to sit on.

    Our students do not only enjoy the comfort when they sit on the rug, but it is a place for them to gather together during morning meetings, restorative circles, and learning activities.

    The rug is part of our classroom environment, and our students know that it is their place to learn and place to reflect and feel that they are all part of the classroom community.

    Again, I want to thank you for all your generosity. The experiences and happiness of my students during rug time speaks volume of how much important this project is to us, and it became possible because of your good heart.”

  • Let's Listen, Sing, and Hum!

    My heart overflows with excitement and gratitude to the people who stepped up to help my students to have their headphone sets and Cassette Player. I was ecstatic seeing the email that my project finally got funded. Because of your generosity my students are able to enjoy center time and and able to listen to their favorite songs.

    Since I am teaching in a special education self-contained classroom, I always consider how to meet my students' needs not only in academics but to also to help them progress emotionally and behaviorally. The cassette player and CD with amazing children songs are very helpful in regulating calm environment in the classroom. The headphones are so useful that my students mostly use them during readers workshop when they listen to stories.

This classroom carpet will not only improve the environment in the classroom but also add warmth and comfort to my students especially during the cold months. With this new classroom carpet, my students will be able to sit comfortably during class discussions. They will also have more learning space on the floor. A comfortable seating space is an important component in motivating students to learn. They are able to know exactly their destination spot during circle time. Thus, classroom carpet does not only make a classroom more appealing but also adds cushioning for children's seated bottoms. This project will be beneficial to my students. This will allow them to sit comfortably and be more engaged.
