  • Dollhouse Fun

    Funded Sep 25, 2022

    Our dollhouse furniture and families are a big hit! The children were so excited as we opened each new piece - it was like a class birthday party!

    The students have the option of choosing the dollhouse during centers. Since the arrival of the new supplies, there is always a waiting list for the dollhouse! They love to pretend and act out different family scenarios.

    We are constantly looking to update our centers and bring new and exciting ideas to the classroom. We would love to add to our Science center next - STEM materials will

    be our next project.

  • Kindergarten Books

    Thank you so much for your contribution. It has enhanced our classroom library. I have several special needs students, and the new, colorful books have encouraged them to try to read.

    We do read alouds in the classroom, and then the children may select familiar titles to read independently or in pairs. The students have enjoyed these new books in both ways.

    We have many books in the library, but so many are old, torn and just worn out. All of the children are truly enjoying having brand new books of their own!”

Kindergarten is the foundation of learning to read. Children need to be exposed to many different types of reading materials. Classroom libraries are very important. I would like to add as many books as possible to our classroom library so students will have the opportunity to be exposed to many, many topics that they may not have ever been exposed to before. Kindergarten students get excited when they see a book for the first time. Adding new titles each day to our library will keep them excited throughout the year and help them grow as students each day. Thank you.
