This classroom project was brought to life by Alaska Department of Education & Early Development.

I am beginning to collect my classroom accommodations and resources! One focus I have this year is to establish a trauma-sensitive learning space. We are receiving professional development addressing social and emotional learning and trauma-informed care! So many students have a variety of needs in these areas and are greatly impacted by these issues in the classroom setting. I plan to use these items to accommodate sensory needs, flexible seating, and visual support options to aid my students to feel comfortable and remain focused. Please help me gather up some quality items for my new classroom that provide unique supports for students as they learn to self-monitor and use tools that benefit their learning!
