The premise behind creating a certain classroom ambience is that 'students learn best in an environment that speaks life into what you want them to accomplish'. The word 'ambience' means the character and mood of the space. My wish is that the 'mood' of my classroom is that everyone has the ability to be the best student and citizen that they can be, and that is what will be accomplished this year. The superhero-themed items, the organizational supplies, and the lighting will help students be organized; and it will help motivate, as well as encourage students. I hope to inspire my students to believe in themselves and their capacity to learn and do great things. I want the ambience or the mood to reflect my belief in that. I hope to use the desks storage pockets and folders to teach my students to be organized. In addition, I hope to provide positive messages through the use of the Superhero bulletins, the lighting, and the Superhero incentives that influence their self-esteem then they will be more apt to put their best foot forward. The character of our classroom needs to say that in this room we are smart, we are organized, and we are Super Students.
