After a mini-reading lesson, my students have independent reading time for 30 minutes everyday. As of now, they do their reading at their desks. I would like to provide my students with the opportunity to get cozy and really dig into their books. My students love reading with their reading partners! This couch that I am hoping to get for them will be the perfect little spot for pairs of students to read to each other daily. The rug will also provide a place where other pairs of students can comfortably sit next to each other while enjoying a book.
