Social Emotional Support
Funded Jan 6, 2025On behalf of my students and myself, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to support the social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives in our classroom. Your thoughtful contribution has made a profound impact on the lives of our students, and I am deeply appreciative of your support.
Thanks to your donation, we have been able to introduce key resources and tools that help our students build essential skills in emotional regulation, mindfulness, and conflict resolution. These practices are empowering them to better navigate challenges, both in and out of the classroom. As you know, providing a safe and supportive environment is critical for learning, and your gift is allowing us to do just that—helping students feel more secure, understood, and ready to engage in their education.
The positive impact on my students is already evident. Many are now better equipped to manage their emotions, collaborate with peers, and stay focused on their academic goals. Your generosity has given them the tools they need to thrive—not just as students, but as individuals.
We are fortunate to have supporters like you who understand the importance of fostering social-emotional growth alongside academic success. Thank you for investing in our students' well-being and future. Your kindness and dedication to their success mean the world to us.”

Scholastic Magazines
Funded Sep 20, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations. Students love having scholastic magazines in the classroom. It is such an engaging way to incorporate reading and social studies into the classroom! The students love participating and learning new and fun things about topics that they might not know a lot about.
We have been using the scholastic magazines to teach about nonfiction reading. They are learning about headings, captions, and learning how to identify the main idea about a paragraph and the whole text.
Recently, we read an article that taught students more about Veterans Day. Students kept coming up to me and my co-teacher in awe about different facts that they were learning.
Students keep asking if we can read another magazine. Students are really engaged in reading and learning. It is a great way to encourage reading while also incorporating social studies. Thank you again for your donations!”

Funded Aug 14, 2022Thank you so much for the wonderful books and other materials that were provided! Students have loved reading all the new books that we have. These books make our library more culturally diverse.
We have used these read aloud and will continue to use these books in many lessons. For example, My Papi has a Motorcycle was used as a mentor text for our personal narrative writing unit. Many students were able to relate to this story and think of meaningful stories for their writing piece! We have also used books like Hair Love and Skin Like Mine to show that everyone is unique and different. We have used these books to create a welcoming and loving environment in our classroom, where all students are welcomed.
Students love the bean bag chair. We have implemented student of the day where students get to complete all of their work in the bean bag chair. This is a great incentive. They enjoy sitting in their "throne" for the day! The other materials received were also very helpful to help make our a classroom a successful one! Thank you for your generous donations!”

Funded Sep 30, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation. With the struggles of the past year, the books were such a big help for both the students in the classroom and the students who are learning remotely. The students love the new books and try to read them whenever possible! This school year has been difficult on everyone, but these books made it easier. The books are being used for independent reading, small group instruction, and even help during writing! The books have brought so much joy to the students, which is wonderful to see during these difficult times!
Thank you again!”

Funded Sep 2, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations! The resources provided have helped all of our students to learn in the classroom. Students are having fun while learning because of the resources provided. They get excited to come to their reading group so they can sit on the cushions and read comfortably. They enjoy using the Play-Doh to create a setting or a scene from a Read Aloud. They have been using markers and crayons during science and art classes. The caddies help keep our classroom organized so that students have all their writing supplies at their tables! Each resource has made such a difference in the classroom. We appreciate the donations that you made to help us create a fun, safe, and successful learning environment for our students!”
