Supplying Success
Funded Dec 16, 2019Thank you so much for your support in funding my project. My students will be very excited to know that we can continue to have interactive lessons and fun review games thanks to the new supplies that are being provided by your generosity. I really appreciate the help that you have given me so that I may, in turn, help my students reach their greatest potential.”

Welcoming Wisdom
Funded Aug 26, 2019Thank you so much for providing my classroom with the resources needed to help our classroom environment implement our new curriculum smoothly. As a first-year teacher in a low-income school, I started off with few supplies. Therefore, as I have been navigating this new district curriculum, it has meant the world to me to not have to worry about having our classroom needs met.
The new curriculum that our district adopted asks that students use three notebooks. Prior to having been provided these storage bins, it was difficult to manage all of the materials needed for class. However, we have been blessed by the efficiency that these bins have provided. Now, the time that we had to set aside for handing our notebooks is able to be used in much more productive ways.
We have also enjoyed having all of the chart paper and fun, scented-markers. Anchor charts have been a great way to keep my students engaged in their learning and have helped them make it their own. When the students first saw that the chart markers were scented, they got so excited. Being able to use the "fancy" markers has been a privilege for these students and they always get excited when they get to choose which scent to use on our charts. These charts have also been a great asset for group work. The students enjoy working together and being able to display their learning on these big pieces of paper.
We are also very grateful for the pencil sharpener and the Dog Man book. Pencil sharpening is a never-ending task in classrooms. Therefore, having a good, electric pencil sharpener has saved us a great amount of time. It has also been a great motivator for student behavior. Students that have positive behavior are able to become the "Teacher's Assistant" and get to sharpen all of our pencils at the beginning of class. Along with the sharpener, the Dog Man book has been a huge hit. It is practically impossible to keep it on our bookshelf. This is a huge blessing for me because it means that my students are reading. Many of my students struggle academically and, therefore, do not like to read. However, the Dog Man novels have been a game-changer in being able to motivate and engage my students in reading.
Having all of these needs met has given my students the advantage they need to succeed with our new curriculum I have already seen a great amount of growth and I know that part of that is due to the generosity that was provided through this project. Thank you so much!”

Organized Chaos
Funded Aug 20, 2019Thank you so much for providing my classroom with the resources needed to help our classroom environment run smoothly. As a first year teacher in a low-income school, I started off with few supplies. Therefore, it has meant the world to me to have our classroom needs met for the benefit of my students.
We have been blessed by the efficiency that the storage bins have provided our classroom. Now our transition times have greatly diminished, allowing more time for productive learning. Instead of fighting through piles of journals, my students are able to each have their own book bin. They were excited when these boxes came in, knowing that they were each able to have one of their very own.
It has also been a blessing to have received the composition notebooks and sharpies that were provided through this project. Because of the socio-economic demographic in which I work, many students were unable to come prepared with the supplies they needed to participate in class. When these composition books came in, they were excited to see all of the pretty colors and be able to choose one that they could call their own. Having these needs met, has given my students the advantage they need to succeed in the classroom. I have already seen a great amount of growth and I know that part of that is due to the generosity that was provided through this project. Thank you so much!”
