My third-grade students are building a life-long love of reading, but my classroom has no library storage or carpet to give them that perfect place to sit down with a good book. The carpet will give students a place to relax and read, but will also serve as a gathering space to provide instruction, do community building, and make the room more like home. The bookshelves will serve as the organization to support students finding the book that is just right for them! Having a organized library will also allow my students to take more of a leadership role in maintaining the library and supporting each other to search for and check out books that they will love!
