  • Scholastic Scholars

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to my Scholastic Scholars project. The students were so excited when I told them we have Scholastic and Science Spin articles to do every Friday. It makes their week!

I love using Scholastic and Science Spin articles with my students because they learn about age appropriate and relevant topics. They are exposed to nonfiction materials. What I love most is that they can bring these short articles home and read them with their family and share what they have learned! They are engaging and perfect for my second graders.

Thank you again for all your support!”

  • Help Us Get Organized!

    Funded May 24, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to my Help Us Get Organized Project. Second graders have several materials to use during our day for all our learning! Sometimes it is hard to keep the desk organized with all their necessities. Therefore, I requested folder bins as another place to keep the students materials. My students are able to keep headphones, extra pencils and crayons, individual book baggies etc. in these bins, which help keep these materials organized. I also use the clear plastic bins to organize math manipulatives so students can see exactly which manipulatives will be used for our math lesson. I am so grateful for your donation to help keep my classroom organized with all the materials we use in second grade!”

  • Teachers Helping Teachers

    Funded Apr 27, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to my project Teachers Helping Teachers. TPT is one of my favorite websites to use to access materials for my young learners. It is very important that I always have supplemental materials to my lessons. This allows me to have small groups and modify work for my students. I love exploring TPT and finding the best visuals to use in my classroom to help with our daily rules, routines, and learning. For example, I was able to purchase hand signals to use in my classroom to eliminate disruptions during instruction time. I also purchased math vocabulary with pictures to help students remember our math vocab.

I am so grateful for your support to help make my year so successful!”

  • School Is Out, but Learning Is In!

    Funded Feb 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my school is out learning is fun project! It is so important for students to keep learning over the summer. The students have worked so hard all school year and have grown so much so we want them to continue learnig and growing over the summer and ready for Kindergarten!

I always encourage my students parents to keep them learning over summer break, and because of you I can now provide them with materials to help!!

Our students are great at tracing their letters and numbers so I am glad that we can provide them with an entire book to keep practicing writing their letters and numbers. We also loved the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom so I can't wait to send them home with this classroom favorite and they can show their families that they can read!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reilly

  • Calming and Sensory Materials

    Funded Apr 19, 2024

Thank you very much for your generous donation to our calming and sensory materials project. The students were so excited when I showed them the new resources we can use in our calm down area. Having a calm down spot with different sensory materials and calming resources really helps our special education students. The Color Monster book is something we read in the beginning of the school year and we refer to it frequently. The students are now so excited they have the book in the calm down area so they can read it whenever they would like.

In preschool we are working on regulating our emotions and finding the best ways to do this. These materials are helping students work through their emotions and feelings! It truly would not be possible to have access to these fun and engaging materials unless it was for the wonderful, kind, and generous donors like you! We truly cannot thank you enough for the amount of support you have shown our classroom!”

  • Sensory Play

    Funded Jul 26, 2023

Thank you for your generous donation to our sensory items project. The students always loved using our light table in the classroom, but we needed more fun materials to use at this activity center! The children were so excited when I opened up the new light tray, sensory rings, and sensory noodles. One way we used the sensory noodles was in the light tray and I hid letters in the noodles. The children loved searching for the letters and placing them on the whiteboard when they found them.

Having sensory items like the ones that were purchased are very helpful in our classroom with our diverse learners, so thank you again for your donations!”

  • Super Summer Send Off!

    Funded May 27, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations to our super summer send off project! The students worked really hard this school year and we wanted to reward them with some fun toys for the summer. We encourage our children to get outside and play so these materials will help them to enjoy their summer with their family and friends!

When I handed the children the bucket of summer toys and activities their faces lit up! We used bubbles at recess a few times during the school year, so I knew how much they loved them. They were so excited to have the sand bucket, sunglasses, bubbles, and Go Fish alphabet game.”

  • Books, Books, Books!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you very much for donating to our Books, Books, Books project. The students were so excited when I opened up all the new books! These books are displayed in our cozy classroom area where students are free to choose any book and get comfy on a couch or chair to read and explore the pages. Several of the books I had in the library were old and worn, the new books have colorful pictures and exciting characters that students were able to connect with!

The books are also used for our whole group read alouds, and with the newer books I am able to find fun activities and lessons to go along with these stories.”

  • Creative Play and Seating

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you very much for funding our classrooms creative play and seating. The students love the new stools to use in our STEM center. Young children do not always want to sit on chairs so it is useful to have flexible seating available in the classroom. The stools are small and light enough for students to be able to move around to different centers if they would like. When I opened up the new letters to build with they were so happy! Our students love learning using their hands and fun toys so they were very excited to have a hands on material to learn their letters.

Thank you also for the expo cleaning spray. The students work in their preschool skill binder every day so it is helpful to clean the binder with spray at the end of the week.”

My students need a bookshelf to hold books for our lending library. This bookshelf will allow me to organize books into themes/genres the children are most interested in. The children in my classroom will then be able to individually choose a book from our lending library bookshelf to bring home and enjoy with their families. The purpose of the lending library is to foster a love for reading at a young age. It is also a great way for children to share quality time with their parent while reading at home. By having a lending library I will teach children how to take good care of books and the responsibility of returning the books.
