Typically when we have done our fossil units, the students are just reading a textbook. Our students are usually very fascinated about fossils and would love to actually explore some to help their understanding. These materials will be used in addition to our textbook materials. This project will take a few days to truly explore all of the types of fossils along with knowing what time period they fall into. These fossil kits allow students to build excitement over what they are learning and allow students to truly understand what fossils look like, as well as understanding where they fall on the timeline on Earth. This activity will really take our students learning to the next level.
