Kindergarten Ready With School Supplies
Funded Nov 18, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness! My students and I are happy beyond measure with your support. The greatest gift we can give others is to remind them that they are loved. When children see that they matter to others they push themselves to always strive for greatness. Thanks to Donors choose and to people like you my students get the chance to make their future a reality.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022K5 is more than thankful for your generosity and support.
We adore the seat sacks, each student can organize their phonics supplies behind their chairs, and I sometimes call them my little executives when they walk to the meeting area with their folders in hand just like tiny professionals ready for their meetings. The jumbo pencils are a big hit too! Unfortunately, it appears that our scholars didn't have access to appropriate-size pencils or crayons in pre-school. So now they all love them! What they don't know is that these pencils help them exercise appropriate hand coordination in addition to supporting their age-appropriate hand grip. Overall, all the supplies were a big help and words cannot describe our appreciation to everyone who collaborated to make this project possible.
Thank you from Ms. Vargas-Pena, Ms. Salinas, and all our little darlings from K5
We love and appreciate your help!”

Funded Sep 29, 2022We love our color printer!
Thanks to you we can send work home in color which makes homework interesting for our students to complete it.
Also, we can create our reading projects and small group activities in color and, the kids love them! Our little ones are now coding words and learning all their letters and sounds.
In addition, this is the first time we can print the holiday pictures in our class instead of printing them at the pharmacy. And trust me doing holiday shopping even at the pharmacy is not an easy task. A color printer makes everything more colorful!
Overall, a color printer is a big help and words cannot describe our appreciation to everyone who collaborated to make this project possible.

Funded Apr 29, 2020For class 207, the chrome book and two tablets are valuable items; both cohorts A and B (my two groups of students have taken advantage of them. Since the beginning of the year, I became a screen teacher (virtual teacher) and an in-person teacher. When I teach virtually, I use the large screen chrome book to see all my students at once while I am projecting on the smartboard. Also, I use two other computers to connect to the smartboard and have all the learning tools my students may need visible on the spot. I assigned the other two devices to transition from student to student whenever their iPad or computer has a problem. We place those devices on a two-week quarantine in our classroom, and they get to go from home to home as my students need them. Finally, the large chrome book also serves in-person students to work on remediation programs such as I-ready and imagine learning. One of my students loves the large chrome book. He calls it the little smartboard. I sent a picture of him using the chrome book.
I can't thank you enough for your generosity. May God keep you and your family healthy and safe.”

School Carpet Crisis
Funded Nov 19, 2019From the moment I shared with my students that we were going to receive a carpet, they were thrilled. They started questioning, how I did it. Asking who was the nice person who bought it for us. It was exciting to see their faces while learning about this amazing organization and how it works to support their education. I feel that sharing with them the process was the first impacting moment my students' experienced. They are smart children and learning how selfless strangers care about their education impacted their sense of community. I noticed how they are helping each other more now. Also, they offer to explain something to a peer who didn't fully grasp a concept. They talk to each other with care and respect and they are always on the lookout to protect one another. Love in the sense of caring for other people can make a great impact no matter how old or young you are. I believe that my students were encouraged to be better people by those who helped us made this project a possibility. Another interesting impact that also resulted from acquiring the carpet was the idea of taking care of our classroom. If you don't have any idea of how messy a First-grade classroom can become, let me just say that it's a challenge sometimes. Well, I have the pleasure to report, that the spotless area in the whole classroom is always the carpet. They are certainly being extremely careful to keep it clean. Aside from a few pieces of paper here and there the carpet is always clean. To us, in class 107, our carpet is a symbol of respect, love, and accomplishment. We will always be grateful for your support and love.”
