  • Let's Start the School Year Right!

    Funded Sep 26, 2022

My students and I greatly appreciate your generous donations to our beautiful classroom. Because of the materials we received the students were able to display their work, their interpretation of school policies, and class projects.

My students were ecstatic when they saw the materials. They couldn't wait to use the new materials for their activities.

The materials we received were partially used for anchor charts that serve as a quick reference for students, highlighting details in text, group projects. My 8th grade students have a project coming for Black History month.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fields

  • Ms. Coles's Creative and Colorful Class

    Funded Apr 3, 2022

These resources and materials that were donated to my students were utilized to the fullest extent. The multicolored highlighters were very useful for my students to identify literary elements in different genres of text. The flip chart markers allowed me to teach lessons using chart paper to visually engage students and have them actively participate in group activities. This strategy proved to be engaging in their learning and retaining information for assignments and assessments. The colored ink for my printer also came in handy with printing student worksheets in color to change up the monotonous black and white.

My students were excited to see that we received the materials and always ask when are we using them or if we are using them for my lessons.

The next steps for my students for a new project will be covering Greek Gods and Goddesses and Mythology. These resources will come in handy for visual aides.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fields

  • Our Community Soars!

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

Thank you so much for funding the resources my students needed to execute their projects and activities that served as reinforcement of my lessons, i.e. parking lots and graphic organizers. Many times my students' parents cannot supply their children with some school supplies that is needed and YOU filled that void and had a hand in them excelling in my class. My students were excited to see that we received school supplies and were less stressed that they did not have to worry about if their parents could buy it for them or not. The glue sticks definitely came in handy with their poster board projects. The spiral notebooks were used for their morning journals which is part of the SEL program.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Fields

These materials will help make a difference in my students' learning by creatively enhancing a different way of learning in the classroom by being hands-on and engaging. The Post-it charts will be used in the "parking lot" method which I use for interactive learning and for small group instruction. My students will collaborate and organize their thoughts onto the chart paper. The highlighters will serve as a tool for emphasizing specific details in a text or essay. The glue and poster boards will help my students' parents avoid expenses when we have projects that require those materials. The colored paper will engage my visual learners more and help organize their materials. We always need extra pencils around state exam time. The spiral notebooks are used for my students' morning journals. This is where my students reflect on the given topic and write their honest responses.
