    Funded Mar 6, 2023

Thank you for supplying my students with drinks to help quench their thirst after and sometime before their nap! After a hot sunny day my students are thirsty and need a refreshing drink. Some ask for another while others asked' are these for me?" They all said thank you! If you were to peek into my classroom at this time you will see that the students are well hydrated due to your giving and deciding how to reuse ,reduce and recycle the cartons.”

  • Feeling Around

    Funded Dec 23, 2022

Thank you for contributing to my class project Feeling Around. The Feeling carpet has created so may discussion that we cannot jot all of them! When a child is feeling a certain way, many will identify that feeling and tell why they are mad, sad, overjoyed or just happy. I can focus on what is the problem, how can we solve it, who caused it or just what can we do as a group?

Many feelings are discussed, and the students help each other out by exploring with others. Other times the carpet is used for just when some student just want to create various faces of each word printed on them. They dramatise the words and have come to recognise the beginning sound. So, I say again thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White-Anthony

All of the students on the first grade level love to listen to stories on audio, or use programs that have sounds. However, without headphones it can get quite loud in the classroom. The noise can be a distraction when I am working with small groups, and a deterrent for my students. My students will use their headphones to work independently on their iPads or laptops while I am working with small groups. This will enable me to differentiate the activities my students are working on, and for those reading and listening to audio books to really engage with the content without background noise. These headphones will allow my students to focus on their work better.
