I wanted to try flexible seating to get ALL of my students involved. Sometimes all a student needs is a different environment or learning style to really succeed and thrive. We ask students to learn all this material every day while sitting in the same desks for eight hours and be excited about learning, but now it is time for a change. I want all my students to learn no matter where they come from or what type of learner they are. Different learners require different styles, techniques, and even classroom settings. I can't imagine learning all that students do these days and having to sit and pay attention in every class. I want to utilize discussions, station teaching, and getting up and moving around the classroom to maximize learning.
