Fresh and Fun Speech Materials on TPT

Thank you very much again for your donation to my Speech and Language program. With your help, I was able to purchase additional materials to support my students with their vocabulary and main idea skills. What can be tricky when it comes to middle schoolers receiving Speech and Language services is that often times their reading levels are lower than where they should be and the materials that are available to work on the necessary skills are geared towards younger students. Students can become embarrassed or feel badly about themselves when presented materials are too immature for them.

What is amazing about Teachers Pay Teachers is they have sellers who understand this who also work with middle schoolers, and they create materials which are on the students' level, but are also aesthetically on their level. This way they are motivated to work on the needed skills and feel comfortable doing so. The materials that I was able to purchase, with your generosity, have helped improve my students' ability to define unknown vocabulary terms within texts and have also supported them with stating the main idea from passages. These skills are used daily in their classrooms, will aid them when taking state tests and are pivotal skills which they will use throughout their every day lives.
