The magazine is a vibrant periodical that will engage my students. Although my classroom is a 1:1 with chrome books, I try to limit screen time. Our textbook is not as current, therefore it lacks some relevance and students need valid, reliable and current information to make informed decisions about a healthy lifestyle and well-being. Use of the magazine Choices will help increase the literacy of my students and will not involve any screen time. The vibrant colors, variation of fonts and informative articles will engage students and encourage their literacy. "Reading is fundamental" and Choices will no doubt put the fun back in reading for my students. Choices is content driven and relevant. The magazine usually has articles on nutrition, social-emotional learning (SEL) and many other healthy lifestyle options in an effort to assist my students in making healthy choices.
