Building Blocks for Creative Minds
Funded May 24, 2024Thank you so much for the donations of the Tegu magnetic blocks for my preschool students. These blocks have given my students the hands on experience that support the STEM concepts of science, math, engineering and technology.
The students have thoroughly enjoyed the blocks. While working with the blocks they have been able to problem solve as well as work collaboratively with other children. These materials will be available everyday for children to use during work time. Thank you again for providing these materials to add to my classroom.”

Funded May 9, 2024Thank you so much for the donations of the items to update our cozy corner. The children were so excited to see the new materials and explore all of them.
Many of these children, do not have to skill set to regulate the big emotions they have at times. These materials have been helping teach the children how to regulate their emotions.
They have enjoyed the safe space we have created in the classroom that has allowed them to go to regain control of their emotions when they feel upset. The materials you have provided have allowed us to make the space more cozy as well give them the sensory input to help calm them. These materials also have emotion examples to help them express their emotions.
Thank you again for providing my children the tools to learn and practice how to self-regulate themselves.”

Funded May 8, 2024My students and I are so grateful for your kindness. When my students saw all the wonderful new materials, they were so excited to use them and begin exploring.
The children have loved exploring the new markers and tape. We created illustrations based on the the book Fish Eyes. The children were amazing in the way the used the markers to add to their fish. We later used the tape to create kites that now hang in our windows.
Thank you for allowing me to continue fostering a love of arts in the classroom.”

Funded Jan 8, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation that allowed me to purchase new uniforms for my students. Having clean and well fitting clothes to wear is something that some people take for granted. In the area that I teach, many do not have that opportunity although parents try very hard.
These extras clothes gave me the opportunity to provide some parents with some uniforms for their children. Without these clothes, many parents were unable to send their children to school in a clean, well fitting uniform. We have also been able to add clothes to our classroom closet for children who may need to change due to accidents (bathroom / lunch / water table) and did not have extra clothes to use.
These clothes give the children the self-confidence to have a successful school year and positive experience at school. I can't thank you enough for helping me give this to my children.”

Funded Dec 27, 2023Thank you so much for the new sand and water toys for our preschool classroom.
When we first unpacked to water toys, the children were so excited to be able to combine their love of building with their love of the water. The water blocks have allowed the students to construct buildings in the water table and test their predications. They love seeing how high they can build a structure all while it floats in the water. The indoor/outdoor rug allows the children to be safe when water occasionally leaves the table.
In the sand table, the new sand has allowed the children to make castle structures as well as block structures. Currently with our dinosaur them, they have been making areas for the dinosaurs to move over as well as hid behind. The consistency of the sand allows the children to build strength in their fingers which transfers to helping in other fine motor activities such as writing.
Thank you again for allowing me to add these fun and exciting materials to our preschool classroom and help enhance the amazing learning that is already occurring.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Chrissy
Once Upon A Story
Funded Jul 17, 2023Thank you so much for the donation of books to our library.
The students were so excited to see all the new books in our library area. They could not wait to get to work time to read them. At story time each day we read a new book and they can't wait to see what the book is about.
One of our recent favorite book series is Pete the Cat. Students enjoyed listening to these stories over and over and were able to picture read the books to one another. Your generosity has sparked a classroom of engaged pre-readers and eager young learners.”

Ms. Chrissy
