A great way to keep students reading in the library is to keep them focused and active. We can do this by offering students the opportunity to read while they ride. With exercise bikes in our middle school library, active students will have a better chance to stay focused while reading, and all of our students can be get a little bit healthier. Through the use of specific exercise equipment, we can offer students a reading and exercise program that provides health to the body and mind. We need new equipment to support our students; our current reading and riding program is so popular, that our students have worn out our two current bikes! At the end of our reading sessions, students walk away with a positive opinion of reading, and we support their physical health as well. It is definitely a win-win!
