Due to the coming and continued presence of COVID-19, there is a real need for face protection to help curb the spread of the virus. With the possibility of schools reopening in the fall or near future, there is a need for students to have protection from each other and the possibility of spreading potentially deadly viruses around them. The face shields will be a great way for students to be heard by their teacher while learning and being protected from the spread of germs. Most families will not be able to afford this kind of protection because my families live in at-risk communities with high poverty rates among other factors. It would be great to provide my students with safe materials and assure my parents that their students are learning safely within proposed health and safety guidelines within the school environment.
